His first involvement in property development was in 1982 with a mixed-use development in Clontarf. He has developed particular skills in the area of site assembly. In 1998 he purchased Malahide Boat Yard, assembled adjoining sites and was granted planning permission for Ireland’s first private residential marina development. This was sold on and developed by Gannon Homes. The 150,000 sq. ft New Street Mall, a mixed retail and office development in Malahide was also developed in 1988.

Hazel also spent 20 years in the public sector working with various Local Authorities. Prior to leaving the public sector she was Senior Transportation Planner with the Dublin Transportation Office.

Seamus O’Connell, Financial Controller has more than 30 years experience in the aviation sector following training as an accountant with Deloitte & Touché. He joined Headland in 2004.
